Greetings ToW-Patrol, "You got any money?"   We held the first annual Thomas-Con™ last weekend on the sidewalk in front of our house. My son had gotten it into his head that he wanted to run some kind of neighborhood sidewalk business, but that he "didn't want to sell lemonade." Okay... Thusly, Thomas-Con™ was born, perhaps the world's first sidewalk trade paperback stand. Thomas was excited, my wife and I had lawn chairs, everyone was happy. Thomas started asking every kid in the neighborhood if they had any money. After purchases, he'd wave his plastic bag of change in his customers faces and say, "Look at this!" The boy's a natural, I tell you. He made $40 over the course of 6 hours -- a smashing success! All of it despite direct competition from Dragon-Con, who had the audacity to schedule their convention on the same weekend as Thomas-Con™.
